Rooted in the unseen war of Ephesians 6, Intercession is a superhero-themed series where the enemies aren't of flesh and blood, and the battlefield stretches far beyond anything the eye can see. Step into the lives of those who answered the call to be set apart, each bearing a distinct spiritual gift and Weapon of Warfare, as they topple the Adversaries' strongholds, contend against the rulers, the cosmic powers, and the spiritual forces of evil, and bear the trials and tribulations that come with such a calling.

The series plays heavily on the concept of intercessory prayer found in Ephesians 6:18 (ESV): 'praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.

While other superhero tales might feature heroes gaining powers through radioactive spider bites or extraterrestrial origins, our approach offers a refreshing departure. Instead, our cast is composed of heroes whose codenames are primarily derived from Hebrew words linked to an aspect of God's character, like Nissi, Magen, and Tsuri. Their abilities are not mere accidents or cosmic coincidences but are instead rooted in biblical events and astounding metaphorical passages found within scripture.

This project has officially entered in the production phase of #1 with Ken Bowden on Art and Michael Woods on Colors - Our goal is to release the first issue in by May 2026. Until then, here are some Pinup artwork pieces for the project."
